Our Commitment to Privacy

Punch Clock is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your time tracking data belongs to you, and we've built our app to respect that belief.

Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

  • Time tracking sessions (punch in/out times)
  • Project names and settings
  • Work notes and session summaries
  • Invoice and client information
  • App preferences and settings

Data Synced via iCloud (Optional)

  • If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account
  • We do not have access to your iCloud data
  • Sync is end-to-end encrypted by Apple

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • No location tracking or GPS data
  • No screenshots or screen monitoring
  • No keystroke logging or activity monitoring
  • No personal identifiable information sent to our servers
  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No third-party advertising or data sharing

iCloud Sync

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This allows you to sync your time tracking data across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

  • Your data is protected by your Apple ID credentials
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We cannot access, read, or share your iCloud data
  • You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings

Data Export & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Export: Export all your data as JSON or CSV from the Settings menu
  • Delete: Delete individual sessions, projects, or all data from within the app
  • Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all local data from your device

Third-Party Services

Punch Clock does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The only external service used is Apple's iCloud/CloudKit for optional data sync, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Punch Clock does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for professional time tracking and is not directed at children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
